About Us

The South River Curling Club (SRCC), was built by local curlers in 1953. It was incorporated in July 1977 as a not-for-profit organization operated by its members and volunteers. It's a year round social venue that provides a low cost healthy social and physical winter recreational activity for children, adults and seniors residing in the Almaguin Highlands.

We're very proud of our club and have outlined below information on our leagues, memberships and youth programs.  Fun nights, golf tournaments and a winter dance offer other opportunities to get together.  Whether you're a novice or a master, we'd love to have you join in the fun!

OUR LEAGUES: Draw 1 - November to January; Draw 2 - January to March

Monday Night Mixed:
8 ends of play on either Monday or Wednesday appeals to both novice and experienced curlers. It focuses on fun with a little friendly competition for good measure. People who are just starting into curling will have a chance to learn the game, while experienced curlers will be able to challenge their skills at reading the ice and game strategy.  Teams are made up by the Draw Master for each draw.  Whether you are looking for a social evening or some exercise, as you “hurry hard” to the house, consider joining us on Monday evenings.
Tuesday Morning Womens:
6 ends of play.  This is a casual morning of curling offering a good opportunity to learn the game in a friendly setting or try playing other positions on the team.  Coaching could be supplied on request.   A wonderful opportunity to socialize with women of the club.

Tuesday Night Competitive Mixed:
8 ends of play on either Tuesday or Thursday.  Usually members sign up as a team, but if you are looking to play competitive and do not have a team, please feel free to sign up and we will do our best to place you on one.

Thursday Morning Seniors Mixed:
6 ends of play where the emphasis is on social rather than competitive play.  Assigned teams include all levels, from beginner to skilled, and cues (sticks) are available.  Join for the fitness and the friendships - you don't have to be an 'official' senior to join.

Some original Little Rocks have graduated to Junior Curling with regular stones on Monday afternoons.  Bring the kids out to learn how to curl and have fun with other kids.  Little Rocks Registration
